As someone who frequently exercises and trains, I am always on the lookout for ways to relieve muscle soreness and tightness. When I heard about the Bob and Brad D6 Pro Massage Gun, I was immediately intrigued. After doing some research and reading reviews, I decided to take the plunge and purchase one for myself. Here is my honest review of the Bob and Brad D6 Pro Massage Gun, after using it regularly for over a month.
First and foremost, let’s talk about the design of the massage gun. The Bob and Brad D6 Pro is sleek and ergonomic, with a comfortable grip that makes it easy to hold and maneuver. It is lightweight yet sturdy, and the rubberized handle ensures a firm grip even when your hands are sweaty. The gun also comes with a carrying case that is both stylish and practical, making it easy to transport and store.
The massage gun attachments stink real nasty out of the box. Off gassing. Didn’t experience this with Theragun. Will let them air out a couple weeks before using the device. Tested out the core unit without any attachments. Much quieter than a theragun, I’ll give them that much. And cheaper. If the attachments stop stanking so much by the end of the month I’ll give it a try and update the review in due time
Update: after about a week, the attachments still stunk real nasty so I washed them with mild hand soap. After another week past that, they’re finally good to go. Updating the review to a 5 since the positives way outweigh the negative of the attachments stinking like chemicals. They really should let them off gas and rinse them in the factory more, but oh well. Very quiet device compared to theragun elite, and much stronger stall force. I tested that. Great value. Hoping mine doesn’t overheat like the person in the other review. Maybe just don’t use it for super long time, not sure. Either way, good stuff, especially if you manage to get it on sale for under 200$.
I have been using massage guns over the last two years, with amplitudes ranging from 10 to 14 mm. Given that I have roughly 20 years of consistent training under my belt and over a decade of coaching, I wanted a product that could offer the depth to help release tense muscles. For context, I can press this gun with the maximal setting and lowest surface area head into large muscles with as much force as possible, and it has yet to stall on me. Using it for the first time, I noticed an incredible difference in the quality compared to other models. I had considered the Theragun Elite and Theragun Pro; however, other than the app feature, I felt that this model had stronger features at a much cheaper price. As a coach and health researcher, I also appreciate Bob and Brad and their YouTube channel, so I was happy to support them! I have already recommended this product to some of my clients and associates in the health industry, including runners and trainers. A superb product from Bob and Brad.
